Kurdistan: KDP, PUK agree to unify
ministries

Erbil-Hewler, Kurdistan region "Iraq", —
Member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's (KDP)
political office on Monday said that leaderships of
the KDP and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK)
agreed to unify the three ministries of Interior,www.ekurd.net
Peshmerga (local Kurdish
armed forces), and Finance within the coming two
weeks.
The two parties also agreed to send a high-profile
delegation to Baghdad, headed by the region's
president, to discuss pending issues with the
federal government.
"This occurred during a meeting in Erbil Monday,"
Imad Mohammed told VOI.
He did not mention when the delegation would travel
to Baghdad. Erbil is the Iraqi Kurdistan's capital.
