Austria: Firebombs target Kurdish club in
Vienna

Vienna, Austria, — Authorities say arsonists
tossed firebombs at a Kurdish club in Vienna,
causing no injuries or major damage but angering the
city's Kurdish minority.
Officials say the attack occurred a week after
arsonists targeted the Turkish consulate in Salzburg
and a Turkish association in Vienna.
It isn't known whether the latest incident was
related to those firebombings. The club is in a
working-class district of Vienna heavily populated
by immigrants.
Investigators on the scene say the fires scorched a
door and several windows.
There's been no immediate claim of responsibility.
But the Federation of Kurdish Associations in
Austria,www.ekurd.net
has issued a statement
accusing Turks of organizing the early Saturday
attack.
