the strongest case to become a nation? 11.9.2008

A
Vital Question asked by CNN's Fareed Zakaria.
September
11, 2008
Steve Tataii's response:
Of all stateless nations Kurdistan in each 4 parts:
1- North Kurdistan.
2- East Kurdistan.
3- South Kurdistan.
4- West Kurdistan.
or ideally all 4 parts combined as KURDISTAN,
has had the strongest case to become 4 Kurdish
nations or states for: |

Steve Tataii, author of several books on Kurds and
Kurdistan and
recent U.S. Senator
Candidate in the 2006 elections-

1)- 3 million ethnic
Kurds in Kurdistan of Syria.
2)- 6 million Kurds in Kurdistan of the defunct
Iraq.
3)- 16 million Kurds in Kurdistan of Iran.
4)- More than 30 million Kurds in Kurdistan of
Turkey.
Or all Kurds in ONE KURDISTAN (A single Kurdish
State, consisted of more than
50 million Kurds with their 12,000 years
civilization in their homeland "Kurdistan").
The Kurds have had, and by far have the strongest
case to their own recognized independent state or
states on their own soil as any other much smaller
states, which have attained theirs since 1920 under
League of Nations in the treaty of serves, or since
1945 under Leagues' successor "United Nations" under
many other post WWI & WWII treaties Freed from their
usurpers or on their own. KURDISTAN was usurped by 4
artificially created states of Turkey, Iraq, Syria,
and partly in West of Iran through the callous
disregard of two main colonial powers of Great
Britain & France by 1923. Today all other parts
remain captive except in Iraq, which has been
Liberated for both ethnic groups of Kurds in
Kurdistan, and Arabs of South though awaits World's
Recognition yet to be declared by the United Nations
for the two nations in the defunct Iraq “properly”,
and the only way to end the war.
Kurds, by far, have the Richest, and Oldest cultures
among their usurping ethnic States, and the world,
which has been kept quiet due to lack of an
Independent Kurdish State. This would have enabled
them to introduce their history, and civilization
through Embassies, and other state to state cultural
education around the world. In fact they are the
majority at 50 million Kurds as a whole,www.ekurd.net
over each of the 4
usurping dominant ethnic groups imposing their Rule
from their 4 central Governments far from Kurdistan
with the worst forms of administrative indolence.
This has proven to be maliciously intentional, and
deliberate to keep the Kurdish nation suppressed,
and stateless since 1923.
To say the Kurds have the strongest case to become a
nation becomes an understatement as the Kurds are a
nation, and have had the most deserving human rights
among all other states since 1923 to become a nation
state. This is most apparent by looking at their
long hard fought history for Independence with
captured defensive weapons from their aggressive
enemies keeping their Kurdish civilians suppressed.
Their enemies, all of which have been puppets of the
superpowers or recent derivative from them, have
used vicious, and un-Islamic, un-Christian methods
such as bombings, mass killings, Genocides,
destruction of tens of thousands of their villages,
use of chemical weapons (the most uncivilized, and
barbaric of all), and lastly “the most cowardly of
all”, death by hanging against innocent Kurdish
civilians by the un-Islamic Republic of Iran, when
even women, and children have bee hanged for simple
crimes (only considered to the regime, threatened by
all other peoples), but in these un-Islamic
instances, solely because they are Kurds.
United Nations stands to be the responsible entity
to allow these human atrocities against Kurds take
place by inaction, and silence since 1945. United
Nations has become the largest useless bureaucratic
entity of its kind, a toothless tiger unable to do
what its name refers to "United" to maintain
"Uniformity" in overlooking to end the Independent
States' Tyranny, preventing, and refusing to give
membership to those states using their military
power against stateless ethnic groups they have
illegally occupied, and instead of aiding the peace
loving stateless nations "the Kurds" in particular,
the largest nation without a recognized state today,
and since 1923, hence it is for this reason; that I
hereby call for a complete overhaul or dissolving of
the United Nations, to be replaced with a sensible,
and honest "Union" Representative of nations as soon
as it is possible.
UN currently has been whipping up a vicious
anti-Kurd campaign within Iraq, and has already
caused dozens of ethnic Kurds' death, when Kurds
have been forced to reach out to world's governments
for help through peaceful demonstrations turned
bloody by terrorist elements. The Kurds in many
cities including Kirkuk, where a suicide bomber
killed 36, did so to object delays of article 140,
and in opposition to the infamous Article 24
manufactured by Ba'asi elements within Baghdad's
"Iraq" parliament, in order to allow them to
maintain Governing over their own cities, primarily
Kirkuk, left out from the "No Fly Zone's ridiculous
36 parallel line since 1992.
Kirkuk, and all of her surrounding Kurdish cities,
towns, and villages, as well as all other similarly
situated left out Kurdish cities, towns, and
villages from the callous way of drawing 36
parallel, should have already been recognized to be
under Kurdistan's Regional Province Government,
which has not been properly addressed with her
Homeland's name "Kurdistan", instead referred to as
"North of Iraq" by many subversive Arab MPs, many
other World's existing Bigoted politicians, and the
retired old Ambassadors with past colonial
mentalities.
The Kurds demand all of their Kurdish cities, towns,
and villages within their clear "Kurdistan boundary"
be immediately recognized, and agreed to by the
United States, and Baghdad, to be officially
Governed by Kurdistan Regional Government under the
Leadership of Kurdistan Regional Presidency,
honorable Massoud Barzani, and his 16 years old
Parliament, Ministries, and Government
administration. If anyone is looking for the ethnic
group that has the strongest case to become a
nation, and miss this; he or she must be deaf, and
blind or pretending to be one. Short of that, UN,
and other anti-Kurd entities or states shall once
again restart another round of wars, and destruction
imposed on the peace loving nation of Kurdistan
(particularly in the North of the defunct Iraq).
This should be on the top priority list of our
outgoing United states President George Walker Bush,
who seems to continue to be influenced by a few
vicious-cold war-retired-American politicians, who
should not be allowed to have a say on Kurdish
people's national internal affairs, having been a
part of all the past neglects, malicious anti-Kurd
plans to help the puppet regimes of Ankara,
Damascus, Tehran, and Baghdad for all the wrong
reasons, turning a blind eye on the vicious
Genocides, mass-killings, and ethnic cleansings,
which is beginning to reappear again (starting in a
slow motion pattern). The current failed offensive
attempt to take the military control of Khanaqin
with "Iraqi" soldiers by Baghdad's PM Maliki is a
shameful, and insensitive act of provocation against
Kurdistan's own military force.
In this instance Baghdad has shown another sign of
aggression by his Arab dominated PMs, when even in
Hussein's reign Khanaqin was never questioned, while
Kurdish army, Peshmarga forces, always controlled
the city, and its surroundings.
This is what can happen; when UN's foot-dragging to
return Kirkuk's Official Kurdish Control to
Kurdistan Region has created more problems, and must
end quickly, preferably, securing Kirkuk's Kurdish
Government control before November 2008. UN should
not interfere with the political process, while it
has now failed to try, and Facilitate the process to
go smoother, hence UN facilitator, Demistura, should
be replaced with a Kurdistan's facilitator appointed
by President Barzani or his parliament, to finish
the job or Kirkuk, and all other Kurdish cities,
towns, and villages, as President Barzani has
explained, shall come under Kurdistan Region with or
without a Referendum now that article 140 of the
constitution continues to be abused by anti-Kurds.
Honorable President Bush must try, and secure an
Independent Kurdish state for the Kurds of the
defunct Iraq, if not all the other mentioned 3
Kurdistans, before the end of this year, and before
leaving office otherwise, he shall leave open the
doors for decades more of atrocities, and mass
killings against the Kurds, and through the military
might of the 3 usurper states, financed, and
equipped by the callous votes, and support of Mr.
Bush's Old Time Retired Politicians. This will no
doubt damage President Bush's credibility, and that
of our American Foreign Policy in Liberating the
defunct Iraq, a country forcefully manufactured by
the colonial powers of 1920s against the wishes of
its two main ethnic groups; primarily the Kurds of
Kurdistan in the North, and the Arabs of South, the
way they had lived for thousands of years prior to
1920s minus the necessity to have borders or
membership as a Recognized State in the United
Nations, a more “Worldly” contemporary nations’
phenomena though not a must under International Law.
Any failure of this most Vital, and necessary
accomplishment shall lead to wars, and more bigger
wars all over again, and may even cause our US
soldiers' sacrifices go in vain. This would be such
a shameful way to end the Liberation. I hope this
does not happen, because ignoring Kurdish nation's
most basic Human Rights demand in being able to
Govern their own motherland-homeland, as we claim to
believe in the right of any nation to
self-determination, also mentioned in UN Charters;
when for thousands of years Kurds never invaded
sovereignty of other nations, will be catastrophic,
and unacceptable to the people of the world,www.ekurd.net
and to the American
people in Specific. There is no doubt in my mind;
that South Kurdistan has all the characteristics of
becoming a nation state of its own at anytime, but
delays by her enemies will only make it harder, and
longer to achieve this noble cause. When Arabs have
22 nation states, Turks have 6 nation states, and
Persians have 3 nation states; why not Kurds have
one nation state out of the 4?
