Kurdistan President Barzani Meets Egypt's
President Mubarak

CAIRO, Egypt,
— Iraqi Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani
met with President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt in Cairo
earlier today to discuss bilateral relations and the
political situation in Iraq.
During their meeting, which was also attended by
Egypt's Foreign Minister, President Barzani and
President Mubarak talked about the political process
in Iraq and the need for Iraqi leaders to move the
political process forward.
While in Cairo, the President also met with other
Egyptian officials including the Prime Minister and
the ministers of tourism and transport.
Barzani, leading a high Kurdish delegation, arrived
in Jordon on July 3, following the official
invitations from Jordon and Egypt.

In the second leg of his tour, the President arrived
on July 4 in Egypt to meet with Amru Musa, the
General Secretary of the Arab League, followed by
his conferring with Ahmad Nazif,www.ekurd.netthe Egyptian Prime
Minister.
