WASHINGTON,
Violence and indiscriminate attacks have lately escalated against members of Kurdish minority groups by unknown armed individuals in Iraqi Kurdistan. Outlaws engaged in such callous sabotage acts solely aim to agitate order and contravene the rule of law. Such a tragic incidence is unprecedented in Kurdish tolerant society.

KHRC urges Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to immediately intervene in ensuring protection of the

lives of minorities as well as bringing all those accountable perpetrators to justice.

Such criminal acts must not go unpunished and all efforts must be made to prevent it from occurring encore.
